It only took 4 days to really feel like I had completely fended off the cold or flu.

Vita C (from Camu Camu Berry), Chlorella Powder (or Wheatgrass, Spirulina, etc), Lemon juice, then stir with a cup of water

The context…I had been more tired than normal. Some occasional sneezing. Then a toothache (which for me almost always precedes getting sick), a brief morning sore throat, and a little momentary nausea in the afternoon. Yep, all the signs were there…I was about to be laid out, yet again. But I fought back and never actually got sick (besides the precursor stuff mentioned above). This is what I did:

  • Got all the sleep I could. It wasn’t easy as I frequently wake up in pain. But I did my best.
  • I drank 2-3 cups of water upon waking. Added a wedge of fresh squeezed lemon juice to each cup.
  • I then drank a cup of water with half a teaspoon of camu camu berry vitamin C (not cheap!), 1 teaspoon Chlorella powder (any quality greens powder would be comparable), and made it taste good with lemon juice & couple drops stevia natural sweetener.
  • My regular green smoothie, with particular emphasis on the spinach & berries or spinach & cacao powder each day.
  • Kefir at least once a day and a probiotic drink (similar to kombucha) after dinner.
  • No alcohol and very little junk food of any type.
  • No large meals so there wouldn’t be any energy wasted on digestion.
  • I drank several cups of water between meals.
  • I took a little liquid olive leaf extract once to twice a day. That stuff is great for the immune system.

I know that sounds like a lot. But compared to what I would’ve had to do and spend for 1-2 weeks if I actually got sick, it was NOTHING. And that pretty much wiped it out in just four days! I wasn’t sick during that time either. I was just tired and felt like I COULD get sick if I took a day off from the regimen. By the fourth day my energy levels had picked right up and I had no symptoms lurking.

I realize the same routine won’t work for everyone in every situation. But these things really helped me and I wanted to share it with you.
