I’m a little surprised I’ve taken this long to report back in for my personal journey. But the explanation dawned on me a few days ago when I started feeling like I was about to get sick.

I started drinking milk and milk kefir and planned to keep you updated on my progress, but there were so many other gaps in my overall diet and SO much inconsistency that it was hard to really track my progress or how any of the good things I was consuming were helping me, so I never felt ready to sit down and give you updates.

Half of the problem has been my own doing, as I’m not only putting a lot of healthy things into my body, but I’m counteracting that with junk food & drinks. The other half (not my fault) has been that most nights I wake up because of pain in my arm, so for five months my sleep has been somewhere between 3-5 hours a night during a period when I need much more rest than that.

So when I started seeing the symptoms that indicate a bad cold or flu was about to lay me out for a week or two, I decided NOT this year. There is no way I’m going to let that happen again. I know too much to just let that happen to me like it has in the past. And now I’m fighting it.

Doing what is within my power to get more sleep and eliminate some of the huge gaps in my diet are what I’ve started with.

I have to head out the door, but I’ll keep you posted on my battle. I can already feel a huge difference. And LOTS of WATER has been the biggest key. About 3 cups of water first thing yesterday with lemon squeezed into it. More details coming!
